Title: vanagon aaz windage tray
Post by: paolomarks on May 04, 2011, 12:10:38 pm
So I'm putting an AAZ into my Vanagon 81 diesel.  Should I use the stock AAZ windage tray even though it's now at 40 degrees?  Also the AAZ gasket incorporates "spacers" which make it thicker than the 1.6's.   Will I have trouble lining up oil pan to tranny bolt holes with this configuration?  What do you all think?  Thanks, Paolo.

No difference in the holes lining up. :)

I know some people say it's tight to get the bolts in that run through the transmission, but i had no problem

Thanks for the prompt replies.  The rubber gasket ripped a bit in a few places when it was removed, can I use some sealer like RTV or should I get a new one.    Paolo
