park level or with the right side lower than the left HA HA HA LOL LOL
just kidding. There is probably oil leaking past a little of the turbo seals. I understand that the seals are not positive and will leak if the oil is gravity feeding onto them. Probably not a big deal.

Thanks for the reply,i've got a trip to the uk coming up so am a little worried that this might lead to a turbo failure[i will check the turbo bearing for play].

on a vanagon, parking that severe could back up oil in the return, it's not that sloped any ways. Without a sloped drain, oil will enter the intake...
it's the way she goes

Ta,So anyone replaced the seals on a"kkk 14" turbo?.
If so what problems were found in dismantling it?.
-
the way the turbo is set up on a vanagon, even with PERFECT oil seals, if you park it just WRONG, it will still fill the turbo with oil.. EVEN WITH PERFECT SEALS...

Thanks, ive checked the compressor when parked at an angle,no oil,so it must be the exhaust side!!

lol, gotta love the quirks of a turbo vanagon <3
