Hey guys,
I'm new to the TDI scene and am loving my recently bought 99.5 Jetta. I have been on vortex since 05 and have had many vw gassers including a BT 20th AE (which will be for sale soon) So, heres some info about the Jetta...the car had been sitting in a dry garage for 2.5 years (the owner had moved to the city) So the tank was half full with old diesel. I used a can of diesel purge at the injection pump. I also poured some diesel fuel treatment into it, changed the oil and filter and changed the fuel filter halfway home from southern PA to Syracuse, NY. Since doing all this I have had intermittent long cranking. I would say that 80% of my starts take about 7 revolutions before starting.

I changed the fuel line clamps in hopes to fix the problem because my old clamps seemed weak. Any ideas??
I have access to VAG-COM and automotive diagnostic equipment.
Thanks in advance! :)
