Title: Vanagon Injector pump?
Post by: Bugsy_malone 666 on March 25, 2011, 04:17:37 am
I am looking at getting an LDA for my NA pump, found a pump with one on fairly cheap, but the guy said the LDA is different on a Vanagon/T3 turbo diesel pump and is selling a GTD one and a T3 one.

He aslo said a vanagon pump isnt much cop after about 5psi?

anyone confirm this?

Yes the factory TD T3 [Vanagon ] pump LDA's are different. Set to the side in order to clear the engine cover. They have a limit to providing if you are looking for more than stock.
If you have a single or double cab, it's not an issue, but in the regular van the "flying saucer" LDA can interfere  with the cover , depending if it's the original engine mounts, pump timing ,and whether you care if the cover has a big bump bashed into it to clear a regular LDA.

Well what I was looking at is the the LDA specifically. I have a 1.6NA and na pump and was wondering if a T3 LDA would suite for my advance, its just cost more than anything.

If not I'll have to keep hunting!
