Title: City Lights
Post by: macka on March 24, 2011, 05:24:04 am
I am contemplating getting a set of Hellas at MK1's store. They have a city light built in. I am not going to use it as a city light per say. Do you think wiring it into the signal circuit would look cool or would it be dumb?

I think it would be kinda cool, probably the only rabbit on earth that would have turn signals in the headlights.

I've heard that on square headlights the city light cuts into the beam pattern and makes a dark swath, never seen it though. The city lights don't seem to effect it in my round lights. Hella might be better than autopal too.

bro has Autopal 4x6 for the mk1 jetta with the city light. I have them wired in to the pakring lamps. Parking lamps on they act as DRL's. I think the parking lamps would look SICK. However wit hthe headlights on, they won't be seen.

Would changing the bulb colour to amber make them visible? I am not running them as DRLs so I figured why not? I also looked into the road rules and you can't use clear lights in your headlights to alternate, strobe, or flash unless you are an emergency vehicle.
