A customer brought in his MK2 VR6 turbo swap victum for a runability concern. Turned out it was the 1.8t injectors only later to find out that the turbo was making some noise.
Found it...

The owner had assembled the swap and turbo himself and with friends. It appears that the steel pipe was used inside of a rubber hose to cap off an extra port on the cold air intake. Looks like that didn't work well.

i wish i had pictures of the turbo i took off my 1.6TD..
it ingested something.. and it took it a while for the turbo to chew it up. there were no blades left on the compressor except for 1/4" inch around the outside edge of the compressor.. NO BLADES!
