Title: Project 12mm in full swing
Post by: jaysen71581 on February 27, 2011, 06:16:44 am: I will be documenting over the next few weeks my removal of the 11mm block posting pics of where it failed and the new motor getting mated to the trans, still trying to decide what color to go with for the block so shoot me some suggestions, pics of the current progress will be posted later today....

Post by: theman53 on February 27, 2011, 10:16:06 am: I would go with Cadillac Gold for your block and Ford Red for the trans. Maybe Alpine Green for the bolt on stuff like IP and IP lines. Probably what I will do next time.

Post by: jaysen71581 on March 06, 2011, 12:28:12 pm: Ok today was a very eventful day, i got the block super clean and couldnt resist the urge of painting, the head i decided to take off and give a good cleaning to and while the trans is out i an replacing the inputshaft seal... so here she is.... Once paint has dried ill start putting back on the IP and alternator and all of those fun parts..

Post by: jaysen71581 on April 21, 2011, 09:57:06 am: Ok its been awhile and i have been side tracked with transmission maintence and time, i have gotten the motor back into the car and all i need to do is fill it full of coolant, prime the fuel system and attach some halfshafts and charge a battery, hopefully i can start her up sometime today..... 8)

a caDDy is a pickup

and FWIW, the Rocco is the lightest mk1..

Post by: jaysen71581 on April 21, 2011, 06:08:34 pm: Well i got some good news, i got my car running tonight even if it was for only 10 seconds, it would start up and i had it at WOT but it would just barely at idle speed, i have never messed with any settings on my IP, anyone have a good FAQ for getting to know ones turbo IP and what screws affect what part of the motor ect..
