Title: How do i install a Boost gauge?
Post by: YoSono on January 07, 2006, 05:12:49 am
It's my first turbo diesel, so i'm not sure how you go about installing things such as a boost gauge :)

For example, where and how does it plug in, also, is there any other gauges that would be useful?

cheers

is there a thin pipe that does from the inlet manafold to the top of the diesel pump(lda) if so cut it and fit a t piece to read boost pressure

Hi:  you "T" the boost gauge line into the braided air line that goes from the turbo to the Injection pump across the top of the engine.  Then just run your boost line into the car and hook up your gauge to it.  Regarding other gauges, I've heard of some guys installing EGT gauges but that is usually only if you are running increased boost and fueling I think.
