My dad has an extra Gallon of QuakerState 5W30 and i was wondering if I can use it in my TDI, I'm Due for my oil change,
-
as long as its CF CS something like that "C" rated.. its for compression ignition..
my bet is its sm, sc, or sf rated (for a gasser)
-
Not without some additives. Better to get the proper stuff. Yes it'll work, but if it's not rated for diesel, your oil will get all coked up, among other things
-
The turbo will cook for sure this time catlin ;)
You can use diesel oil in a gasser but not gasser oil in a diesel.
