I have no clue, were they? I've asked a few people here in town if they had one and they have always said they only had power racks.

ive only heard of rabbits with power steering, never personally seen one..

all mine, grandpas, and friends cars, have all had manual steering..

now if you had a mk2, or something else, manual steering would be hard to find..

I had an 82 LX pickup with PS, and two 84 Jetta TD's with PS, but granted MK1 diesels with PS are quite rare. There's a lot of Cabby's and Sciroccos with PS.

The parts actually exist if you dig hard enough to rebuild your existing rack! I haven't personally seen them in a few years but they do exist.

I would guess they went NLA in etka long ago but still exist even in the aftermarket for europe. Quafe even used to make a speedy kit for them. It is just a dying breed who even wants to tackle such a job so the parts get harder to find. Kinda like going to the local import parts store and asking for a wheel cylinder or master cylinder REBUILD kit they look at you like your a space alien!
