Title: Flywheel dimension between both surfaces needed.
Post by: Dakotakid on December 01, 2010, 06:30:26 pm
Getting ready to install a different flywheel in one of the cars.
I have searched/looked in Bentley, Haynes, and this site for the specific distance between the two surfaces on our flywheels to ensure the clutch will engage/disengage smoothly.
Yes, I know the generalized rule is: take the same amount off both surfaces when machining. However, I have a pile of flywheels and I don't know squat about their service histories. I.E. have they been incorrectly machined (only the major surface cut)?

I apologize if I missed this info....but does anyone have documented dimensioning of the standard flywheel?
....and thank you for your support................

Edit: I also looked on Broke's as well.
