Title: what are the differences in 1.9l pumps??
Post by: Dano on January 03, 2006, 08:30:20 am
Currently I have two 1.9l engines, one good, the other is seized.  My friend has a 96 and all three have the same pump on them.. none has an adjuster for fuel on top or anthing resembling a "star wheel" inside.  Wondered if anyone has experimented with those to increase the fuel.  I want to rebuild the seized one, but first need to know if the fuel can be cranked up, as I want to put it in an 86 toyota 4x4, and need additional power.   Can the pump be changed to the other style, should I get another pump?  The adjustable ones dont seem to be as plentiful.. these pumps have boost reference so I assume they are not "eco" pumps.  I have been reading all the posts I can, but have not found a defininative answer.
