Title: Bypassing the AC

My AC compressor si shot and makes a TON of rattling racket when I'm driving, Can I just change the belt to a NON AC one and bypass it like on MK3s(except MK3 you need to change the Water pump to a NON AC pulley also) because tis october and I'm not going to be needed the AC till May.

its a 2001 VW Jetta TDI ALH
