doesn't the peloquin kit come with the ARP bolts? If so you may have an extra kit to sell. If not you will still be prepared.

Drilled out one ring gear. I'm surprised the rivets fail. They are quite beefy. I went through more than one drill bit getting them out. The trans magnet was covered in sludge but the gears and syncros actually look pretty good.

I also got all the external bolt's from ARP (Cases )
Polished s/s 12 Point

I talked to broke vw about this. He said that the earlier 020 trans had VERY hard rivots and no problems with the rivots machining the case. I think he said around 84 and up 020, but you would have to ask him for sure, were the ones with soft rivots and you would have trouble. I know all the ones 86 and after were bad according to him.

What are you doing with that big ol`auto starter?
-
That's a new starter for my 1.6. Bought it last year. The new style does not require the starter bushing in the bellhousing.
-
Oh, it looks huge for some reason ???
-
looks like a normal sized unit to me. but if you sat that next to a mini-gear-reduction starter, yea, its gonna seem huge. lol.
