Title: 2009 TDI Miss firing
Post by: sgkapp on August 27, 2010, 07:55:26 pm
I have a 2009 Jetta TDI  6 sp man. that has been miss firing since the day it was new. It now has 35,000 km on it. It miss fires under light acceleration and deceleration. The engine acts as if you turn the key of momentarily and then back on. It doesnt set any check engine lights. The VW dealership here acknowledges the problem and says they have a few others that also do it, but have done nothing to troubleshoot or repair the problem. The dealership says they are waiting for  VW to issue a fix. Anybody else having this problem or know what it is?

Uh-oh.  :P Choose your repairing dealer very carefully, get references.
Read this thread, pick it up at page 3 when trouble starts.

Perhaps you have done this already, but there's tons of 2009 drivers over on tdiclub.com... pretty sure there's a thread or two on this?

Check out if you have a lemon law in canada.  Read up on it.  SO what does your car do when this happens?  Does it lose all engine power for a few moments?
