I recently burnt out my clutch driven plate, after my SAT-NAV sent me down a country lane from hell, and I had to reverse a camping trailer up an incline, with auto brakes coming on :o
[I have a trailer MOD in mind for the future]. ;D
For the QTD, there seems to be 3 sizes, the old 190mm, 200mm and 210mm. I can't remember which size I have. It is a late'85 mech headed engne in a 1987 Quantum.
I'm bidding on a 210mm kit. It does not include the flywheel...
Did each size of clutch have specificly spaced clutch housing bolt holes. The VW KATE does not seem to specify if there are specific flywheels, although it does mention superceeding part numbers.
Anyone ever used the rubber stopper timing hole by the oil filter to check state of the clutch plate? I ned a mirror and lighte to view inside

You have Quantum in UK :o
All 4cyl have same flywheel, all clutches will fit.

MJF thank you for that information. So all I need is the housing and plate. I should win that by tomorrow.
No Quantums and no Dashers and no gasser's less than a couple of years old ;)
If you don't speak the lingo, then those in the Americas don't understand ;D
And no Turbo Diesel signs like this one [almost] on my mk2 Passat
