Title: your thoughts please
Post by: ilikevwdiesel on August 17, 2010, 07:33:01 pm
Have really nice 98 Jetta GLX I just brought back from Cali here at my place in Maine. I'd really like to convert it to TDI. If I found a Mk3 TDI donor wouldn't it all just bolt right in? What systems would I have to change? I'm not a TDI guy don't know that much about them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.  ;D

ps I realize there's a thread right by this one where a guy is actually doing it but he's doing custom stuff I don't want to do I want it stock except for maybe a chip and injectors.

I think an mk3 TDI donor, you could literally plug and play. Swap the whole engine, ECU, and engine wiring harness.. and it should plug and play to the back of the fuse-box no?? Just a wild guess, but i believe this will work like this.
