Title: stiff ***fter

01 golf tdi ALH. 5 spd trans. moving the ***fer side to side in neutral it is stiff, and also when driving going through gears. it still hits the gears and all and works great. its just realy stiff. any suggestions?

bad shift cable. the shifter moves one cable side to side, and one back and forth.
