Can I use 1z pistons and rods with an ALH crank and block?

yes i do it all the time, infact a few times wen im despirate for PD pistons ill use an ALH crank which meen i can use a totaly differnt generation of rods an pistons, whatever early tdi pistons ive got knocking about, there deffo up to the job, my 1z kicks out 240bhp with stock bottom end and not damaged anythin after 10k

The alh pistons & rods are a bit stronger than the 1z/ ahu. Might be a reverse upgrade, notthat the 1st gen units were weak though as Rich proves.
