Title: Red line gas gauge

Just curious, on an mk2, once it hits the red on the gas gauge, how much further do you guys usually go or how many litres are left?

I'd say close to 3 US gallons?

My 89 is empty when it drops just a hair below 1/4 tank.
Dead flat empty going no further. lol
I refill at 1/2 mark'ish zone and takes 10-11 gallons.


Just saying, almost all will be different.
Don't trust it until you test it refilling at 1/2 and at 1/4 and so on.
Total capacity is like 14.5 gallons

Thanks for the info. I filled it up about just above half way in the red zone and I still had 15 litres left (if my tank is 55 litre, which most seem to say)
