Title: FS 89 Jetta Diesel. Certified, E-tested
Post by: burn_your_money on June 13, 2010, 09:46:31 am
I'm selling my 1989 Jetta diesel. I was fixing this car up for my cousin but unfortunately he lost his job and is not able to pay for the car. I need to sell it to recoup my costs.

The car has a brand new Giles Performance Pump. For those unfamiliar with Giles pumps, his pumps are completely rebuilt, come with a 1 year warranty and give a car a nice power increase. If you keep your foot out of it you'll usually notice a gain in MPG as well.

Here is a before and after dyno run of my Golf (not this car) with the only change being a Giles Pump. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/burnyourmoney/StockVSPerfpumplegend.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/burnyourmoney/StockVSPerfpumplegend.jpg)

The injectors were also rebuilt at the same time as well as the timing belt and tensioner.

The body has 390k on it but I swapped engines with one with 250k kms.

For some reason the previous owner felt it necessary to swap on a big bumper on the back.

The car also features a trailer hitch.

I am willing to get this car certified and e-tested for $2100. I will sell it as-is for $1800. Or best offer.

This car runs and drives very well and I would love to keep it for myself but 7 cars is too many.

Will trade for a jetski, snowmobile or ATV

I will do some research on your sled and let you know. The word Touring is kind of turning me off but we will see.

you want a jetski?!

I have 5 :D

nicest to worstest order:

late 80s 650sx, nice rideplate/intake, hull is damn good, runs like a champ, hydroturf mat. no title. it didn't need one where it was used, so it doesn't have one. currently registered by the previous owner because he is lazy and hasn't mailed me a notorized reg. so i can get a title, and transfer it to my name.

94ish 750sx white and purple, rub strips are a lil faded, but not bad, hasn't run this season, but was the reliable old dog to teach people how to ride a standup. hull good. title = my posession

late 80s 650sx shoes glued to the tray because foot holes = big money, handlebar pad, and gas cap cover ripped off from diving at highspeed, starts up but is cold blooded, and randomly decides to run on one cylinder. good hull, holds water. american flag decal kit  ;D  title

96 750sxi, twin carb, runs good, hull was wrecked and patched before i got it, but halfassed, and self destructed, head size hole in hull, along with a crack the width of the tray. i'm no fiberglass man, so fixin this one is a lil beyond me.  title

80s 650sx, hull in low-ok condition, got dropped on one of the rear corners and crumpled a lil in a move  and has a 1 inch gash from an eye bolt on the trailer, quarter size hole in top of hull. engine compartment in shambles, half the engine is stripped out. holes can all be patched, would make a good donor for the 750sxi engine if it fits.  :D  hydroturf mat in ok-good condition.  no title

bring the car down, and try them out?

only the nice 650sx, the bad 650, and the 750sxi are here, but i can get pictures of the rest if you're interested.
