the interior is horrid... my new rabbit has that ugly brown. its a nice interior, but i still hate it..

I kinda don't think they are leather, maybe phleather or naugahyde or good quality vinyl. I really don't remember any VW product before the mid 90's [even then?] with real leather. Anyways, other than good wear, leather sucks. Freezing in winter, scorching in summer

my 86 pirelli gli had leather seats.  iirc, they were the first.  And I agree with rabbitonroids.  worst vw interior combo EVAR.....

Both my trucks have that color interior.
I'm not a fan of it. It's my least favorite.
But it goes good with that Burgundy.
I saw a Dk Green 83 with that interior that kinda went good too.

Its high grade vinyl with multi-shades kinda marbled in to look leathery-ish. About 70-80 % of 81-84 i've come across have that color interior so far.

ALL mk1's should have come with black interior.

That sounds like a nice deal on this truck.
Didn't it say just 80,ooo kms ?
