Title: How deep is your cracks
Post by: colhel59 on May 31, 2010, 05:22:03 pm
I have some cracks in between my valves and they seem pretty deep. I was wondering how deep is to deep and what can a guy do to help the situation.

thanks
Colton

Not a concern unless you can fit a US nickel in there.

Posting a couple of pictures, if possible, might add some clarity as well.

Same here, every one I've ever seen was cracked till I pulled the one I have in the pickup the other week for a headgasket, no cracks, looks new-ish.  Factory reman maybe.

There used to be photo's of a cut-away showing how deep they could crack somewhere on one of the forums awhile back.
