I think the current "decline" in the price of gas (my diesel has not come down here) is simply a way (limp-wristed diversion that is....) to make the destruction of the Gulf more palatable to us poor slobs.
I must admit, I feel guilty every time I twist the key to go somewhere. How come the guys in the Tahoes and other big crappers never feel guilty???????
-
Start running bio or working on a wvo conversion? I need to drop my tank and finish my viton lines and I'll be buying b80? I think from a local station.
-
I feel guilty when I fire up the rig too, but probably for different reasons.
I feel a little less guilty when I fire up the motorcycle to go to work in the summer...

Siphon hose work's well OR 3.29 at Valero

-
Siphon hose work's well..
GB
lmao...
-
So how much is fuel?
-
Diesel is right around 3.15 gallon here 5-27-10
-
We are under $3 now here in FL - I think I saw $2.96
-
The price of diesel has dropped about 25 cents in the last 3 weeks. It's now $2.99 a gallon here in central WA.
-
Diesel is $5,3/US gallon here today. Low octane gas $6,7.
-
Cheapest I have seen on Long Island, NY was $3.159.
$3.399 by my house.
Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.
-
Gas here is about $1.15/L, diesel is about $1.09/L
Outside of the GVRD diesel is more like $1.05/L although I saw a co-op at $0.999/L over the weekend. Any time I'm past Langley I always fill up and save the $0.07/L or so GVRD taxes...
-
diesel is $3.99 a gallon right now, and unleaded gas is $3.35
I am happy to ride my bike(that gets 60MPG) whenever possible, even in the rain...
-
It just dropped to $2.96 /gal here.. I'm actually surprised it hasn't gone up.. Seems like when there is ANY sort of disaster, even one looming, the price shoots right up.. OF course the economy is still on the stagnant side of things and people are still pinching pennies a bit.. I feel no guilt.. And I'm not even running WVO, or a diesel for that matter right now.. Just make every trip count.. And motoring around in that big old Caprice Wagon is probably still more eco friendly than buying a Prius...
-
I think diesel is 0.91c/L here at the moment.
I feel bad about driving my car because it burns so much oil. But today is it's last day :)
-
Just diesel'd up for 0.89c/L.
I don't feel bad one bit for starting my lil' guy up ;) even with the oil, fuel and coolant leaks :P
-
We're right around $3.25-3.30 for diesel and 91 octane gasoline which goes in the wrx. I haven't purchased regular 87 in so long I just look at the bottom number on the sign.
-
Im seeing fam right now in the UK and gas is 1.19 (english pounds) and diesel is 1.20.
So like 1.7346 USD/litre at todays exchange rate.
-

bottom 2 numbers are the only important ones.. GTI gets premium, and the diesels gets, well.. diesel.. both prices at the bottom of the sign..
-
Actually saw a no-name brand for $3.019 a gallon, cash. $3.099 credit.
But was told years ago by an old diesel mechanic to stick with the same fuel and minimize my fuel system prices. Hasn't failed yet. So I pay a few cents more.
Was waiting for fuel to rise with increased summer usage and someone using the Gulf of Mexico oil spill as an excuse to jack up the price.
Stay safe, stay well, stay cool with summer here. Jimmy.
-
Central North Carolina
Low grade unleaded 2.40-2.50 gal.
Diesel 2.90-3.00 gal.
I too am surprised it has gone down, instead of up.
Diesel has stayed steady around $3.00 for quite a while here.
Gas fluctuates around here, and gets within 0.05-0.10 of diesel cost often.
Before ULSD, when i didn't own a diesel - diesel fuel was ALWAYS cheaper than low grade unleaded.
-
3.09/gallon now...rising too.
-
hehehe I fuelled up today at $.94/L....hehe
-
well actually Catlin, You paid the most.. ;)
If you do the math and assuming a 1:1 exchange rate between USD and CDN currency.. Lucas only paid $.73/L
Fueled up at a truck stop the other day and got a Wednesday Diesel Deal... $.92/L I want all you Americans to stop whining.. especially you BVZ.. $.69/L :P
-
Put some gas in my van today... $40 at $1.143/L got me less than half a tank. That will get me around 250-300km.. :-\
-
Actually jeremy its the cheapest gas station around, since everyone else is selling at 1.14/L
-
Catlin, it may be the cheapest station around, but I'm saying you paid the most of the people who posted $3 / gal
-
$3.50+ a gallon in lots of places around here..
-
just hit $3.65 a gallon here, damn the winter and everybody using diesel to heat their homes!(drives demand way up in the cold months, the price will probably hit $4 in january)
-Owen
-
$4 a gallon eh? you guys really don't know how well you have it ;)
$4/g is still only $0.95/L and we go nuts when its that low up here.. Want to know what a scary price was for us? $1.40/L two summers ago.. thats $5.88/g.. wanna hear you complain then ;) lol
-

OUCH!! We are a little spoiled here with fuel prices, no doubt. I remember being in England 4 years ago (had to rent a gasser) and it was approx. $8 a gallon.
When I took the Trans-Canada Highway in 2007, I went into Sault Ste. Marie on the American side to fill up my truck. Lot less painful, that's for sure.
Cheapest here now is a no name for $3.179. I pay $3.259 for a better quality fuel.
Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.

Diesel 3.79/gallon
Gas 3.81/gallon Today 6-15-12 pricing at my local BP station
-

Portland, OR 6/15/12
Gas across the state ranges from 3.54 to 3. 65 For lowest 15 stations in OR.
Diesel across the state ranges 3.53 to 3.69 different stations though.
Locally 3.67 is the cheapest I can see. Using Gasprices.com with the Oregon precursor. oregongasprices.com best of the bunch for me.
-
First fill under $4 in probably over a year ;D
Low octane is costing the same or a few pennies more.
Too bad Ii jut put 40 gal in the Burb at 4.09.

Last week Diesel was CHEAPER than RUG for the first time in years. Today I paid 3.60/gallon DSL and RUG was 3.39.
Minnesota,Minneapolis USA
-
Diesel has been cheaper here for a month or so, but I thought that happened every summer when the demand for diesel as furnace oil falls off.
-
Prices just dropped below $4.00 US for the first time in a long while, I don't think it will last.
-
3.59 for diesel 3.39 RUG around here, as of last Friday when I filled up 6-22-12.
-
Saw diesel for cheaper than premium up in MD and NJ last weekend. First time I've seen that in awhile.
Bought diesel for $3.79/gal on Friday morning here in town. Filled up in VA on Tuesday for $3.45/gal. Regular was $2.95 there!
-
diesel has been cheaper than RUG here for a while now..
-
Not bad, diesel is only $4.27/g here. 87 would be about $4.20
-
6-28-12, RUG 3.349
Diesel 3.439
-
2/28/12 NE Portland RUG 3.40 to 3.90 Diesel 3.53 to 4.09 most common prices. Most stations have Diesel and RUG at same price.
-
$8.24 per gallon here in Norway today :)
-
my last 60 gallons were FREE, and RED... lol.
idk how you are going to beat free fuel!
-
3.50 cheapest in charlotte NC
-
R.O.R. You Bugger! Free! How can we beat that? Only way would be to have them pay you to dispose of it and the method you used would be to burn it in controlled amounts for the principle intent of forward or reverse motion.
ATF I assume since it was red.

I collect wvo (about 600 gal. every 3 months) and sell to a guy in western Wa. for $1 a gal. and buy my diesel with that money.
I've made biodiesel for the past 5 years, but this is alot easier. FREE FUEL IS AWSOME!!!
-
Your all lucky with your prices.
In the UK I worked out were paying £6.31 a gallon or $9.62 and that's gone down a bit from beginning of the year. Just means my cheap to run diesel Golf now cost me lots to run and my T4 Caravelle that does 25 mpg costs me a fortune, it spends most of its life parked up.
Sad times :'(
-
T4 Caravelle
Basically a Eurovan?
-
I haven't paid for fuel since November 10th 2011. That is not true, maybe $20 tops since that day.
Note: I also drive 100km a day to and from work 5 days a week ;).
-
Yeah Its a Eurovan but without all the fancy stuff like rear heating, In the uk they class it more like a people carrier. I've taken back row of seats out and have a rock and roll bed in there. I mainly use it for camping but with fuel costing so much I spend more getting to camp-site than it cost to stay. Its a real shame I loved going places in the Van. Maybe next year I'll change jobs and earn some more money.
-
last tank was $4.09 in Minnespolis, MN. I saw one station priced at $4.25 yesterday, sadly.

saw it at 3.97 a couple places yesterday..
-
Was happy with $4.199
But on the happy side, to do my estimated 8,000 mile trip will only cost me about $800.
Not bad looking at it from that point of view.....
Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.
-
Saw a range between 4.11 and 4.48 along the coast the last couple of days. Glad I only have to use that expensive stuff to start and get warm. Usually only 5 miles worth coming and going. Then half price or less on the "other oil fuel" Bwhhaa haa haw.
-
Now, remember that every one of those locomotives (over the road types) are sitting there in those lonely sidings with those 4, 5, and 6,000 gallon tanks.................just saying!
-
No no no, motion detector cameras on board. You never even see them as they picture your mug as you approach the fuel cap. Not that they will notice 10 Gallons you take but they will know it is gone and who took it.
Careful out there. Big Brother is watching everything nowadays. Even if you think they are not.
-
especially on this website ;)

Wear an Obama mask when taking fuel. Then blame Bush. :)
Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.

Have to watch us. We are a devious and creative bunch. We "KNOW Things" things that they don't and are critical to National Security. Like the Govenor mods. How to get speed out of an engine designed for economy and vice versa. Secret Squirrel sh**.
-
4.059/gallon yesterday
-
$4.19-4.59 depending on the town

or visa versa ;)

just did the maths for £1.45 a litre for road diesel, $8.81 per US gallon! Small wonder that the use of red untaxed diesel is a national sport here. ;D

Unfortunately, I work (occasionaly!) in construction, so sometimes a site gets raided and our car tanks dipped by the Customs and Excise (the UK's taxation arm which is about as user friendly as the Spanish Inquisition). This is usually done in an all in one deal, Police, DSS, Tax Officers, Customs Excise, and Immigration all turn up at once. Can be entertaining, when suddenly 60% of the site labour force vanishes, hiding down manholes, on the roof valleys or leaving a trail of discarded flourescent jackets as they flee across the adjacent fences, walls and hedges. So maybe they are right to have their suspicions. ;D
