Title: aaz wastegate lines

I have just fitted 1.9 aaz to t25, however one of the lines to the wastegate was removed prior to me buying the engine.  The other is connected to the inlet manifold.  Where do I connect the remaining one to?
can someone explain or show example?

Leave it disconnected, this line is used to pull open the wastegate during EGR operation on EGR equipped models. You might want to attach a short length of hose to keep dirt out.

thanks, does this mean the wastegate is not functioning? or just not during egr function
