The Oil Supply Line for the Turbo on my Eco sprung a leak. Looks to have rusted under the rubber of the clamp that holds it to the manifold.

I can't find a part number, are they still available new? Any one happen to know what fittings I'd need to make one out of brake line? Is it worth while to fix it or braze it? Or is it one of those one it starts to go it's gone kind of things. I'll put a post in the FS/FT but, I am guessing the same thing may happen with it eventually too.

Thanks.

The mk2 supply line is not connected using banjo fittings and bolts.
I would reuse the two nuts, get the appropriate diameter brake line and two compression ferules to fit it and bend it up.  It would likely cost less than $10 and take less than an hour all said and done.

Thanks Andrew!

Heck it's worth a shot, for an hour and $10. Using the compression ferules I guess that means the ends don't need to be flared.

I'll go by NAPA see what they've got in a little bit. I am just about to start rebuilding one of my VE pumps this morning (my first attempt). I've got myself all psyched up for that at the moment.  :D So I'll run down when I take a break.

If all goes well, rebuilt pump and new oil line install next week end!

NAPA has the right kind of ferrels for 5/16" tubing,..
 it is 5/16" ,.. 8mm right?,.........................
...............
...
I thought I bought some seperately, probably did but can't find the reciept.

Looks like my ferrel came with the 1/8"NPT X 5/16" compression fitting I bought for the VNT Rabbit oil supply line :NAPA# 7205X5 might help you get close to finding a ferrel.

I got a nut and ferrel for turbo end of the line, from the dealership.
 Ferrel part number is:
N 0208292 $3.97

Pull yer head out.

This is for a 1.6TD, not a 1.9TD. The 1.6 oil return line ties into the oil pan. The 1.9 AAZ returns into the back of the block. Two completely different designs.

That's what I did. Still no problems with my supply line.  The SAE line flaired nicely in the metric nut.
