I love so many things about Oregon. I wish I had a place there. :D

I like the current Oregon plates and any plates that have a scene on them... those look like the old blue/gold California plates. Are they an optional thing or is this the new style?

I find it suspicious when I see some contractor's truck with an Oregon or Arizona plate on it and a southern California phone number painted on the door. Apparently you can actually get in trouble for this so be discreet if you live here and register your car elsewhere.

I carry around the Washington plate in my Golf to show people when they don't believe actually I drove it back from Seattle...it's not really that impressive, seriously...

they only stamped 40,000 of them.  I've gotta be the biggest dork ever, jabbing about a license plate ALL day (to co-workers ;D).  they look great, and pics will come soon enough. :P  and just on a side note.  there are alot of states that issed blue plates in their history; not just cali ;D.  last time oregon did it was to commerate its 100th birthday.  these are to celebrate the 150th.  first time i've felt happy about supporting the dmv cause :)

LOL, I don't drive badly, just aggressively.  ;D

And, I have roots there... my great-grandfather was an Oregon state attorney general.

Also, I'm convinced the weather is a lie. Every time I've been to either western Oregon or Washington, the weather is sunny and beautiful. Everyone keeps telling me "No, it's really not usually like this. Please, just move along. Don't get any ideas about moving here." I'm sure it gets tiresome year after year but I appreciate that sort of weather. I get really excited when an el nino winter is predicted.

it aggravates me that its just nice when the tourists are around. and then it just pours and blows when nobody is around to see it.
