Title: WTB: running 84 gti motor, or equivalent

I find myself in need of an 84 gti gasser motor, or equivalent, this is to help out a friend who's engine blew up, pictures to come.  Thing threw a rod clear out of the crankcase. :o

If I get my diesel going soon I would love to sell my entire GTI as the drivetrain is the only good part of it.

head is pretty bad, but maybe a god Machinist can surface it and only raise the static comp a point or so, I'll take some pics ROR.  Please keep me posted on that, I would love to take it off of your hands for you, can you do frieght shipping to a buisness address?
