A few days ago I got in, shut the door and it went BANG, and bounced back open :(.
Apparently a little spring inside the latch assy musta broke, I took it off but can't figure out for the life of me how to get it apart >:(.
Does anyone know where I can buy a new one? Or better yet, how to get it apart and fix it myself?
Someone already robbed it off my parts bunny >:( >:(......years ago.
If it's nla I'll try a jy.
thanks

YOu need another parts car........ I went out back and collected a handle for one back door and a latch for the other one yesterday (off two different parts cars).

I had that problem on my passenger side for years. I just had to remember to push the button and flick the tab up while I had the door open. Of course, educating passengers wasn't easy. I finally remembered to get one in a boneyard. I don't think it's really possible to fix a bad one.

Yeah passengers never learn, I always tell 'em push in on the door a little and it'll open easier and won't break handles quite as often........they never get it. After my sister almost ripped the door handle off a few days ago I says "pushing in on the door will make it open easier.....like I always told you" she was like "whaaaat I don't remember you saying that!!!!"........hopeless haha ;D
