Ok i have a few questions. The cap on the number 4 injector is bad and needs replaced so what can i use to replace it and the other injector return lines?I saw something about using air line that is used for air brakes and other things for a diesel, and where can i get the line to use iam new to diesel and have no clue where to get it.Thanks for any help guys

I used clear pvc line from the hardware store - heat the end with a lighter and squeeze the ends together with a pair of pliers; they'll melt together and seal.

any idea what size i should get?And thanks for the help

Mine were starting to perish so I just went to my local vw/audi parts desk and got some diesel injector piping (the rubber pipe with the braided fabric outer sheath) off the roll to replace all the old piping with.

I think I used 1/8 for the return lines and 5/16 for the larger lines - it's nice to have clear lines to see what's happening with the fuel. The hoses are a bit undersized, so heat them first, and then they'll shrink back as they cool for a tight fit.
I've also heard that if you go to a semi truck repair place that they have air brake line that's clear and purple.

the dealer can provide the 'plug' or 'cap' for #4 injector.
i forget the exact name, but they keep them in stock for another purpose besides being a plug in a diesel engine.... if you really want to look into it, call bud at crosby dealership in kitchener and he'll know what you are talking about: 519.894.9313

On one of the diesel Rabbits I had, the PO had screwed a large wood screw into the end of the #4 injector return hose.
