Let me know what you paid for your fuel pumps.... If replaced...

anybody... Someone on here must have had to replace their fuel pump in a caddy... it's a diesel 1.6 non turbo.... I have a chance to purchase one but would like to know what a new fuel pump would cost...

Has anyone delt with Euro car styling out of san fran? They sell the pumps on the bay for about $440 shipped, brand new.
Check it out:

Too much.
Beware used pumps that have sat around for a while. Unless they are kept full of fuel or ATF, the internal vane pump will gum up and it will be useless to you.
A rebuilt Bosch VE injection pump should run you around $600 installed, so figure $400-450 (US) for a DIY.
The vwdieselparts.com site lists a "remanufactured" injection pump at $695.00. They are usually 25% to 75% overpriced on eveything they sell, so maybe this gives you an idea?
Now this gives me something to go on... I'm looking to purchase a caddy but they want 1,700.00 with the fuel pump shot and registration/inspection ran out back in 2003.. Thanks Brant...
