Title: Relay Wiring

Any one know for sure if pin 86 or pin 85 is the Pos pin for the relay? Some relays have resisters in them (it would make no difference), others have diodes, and it would make a difference. Bently diagrams show both ways from time to time. I am leaning towards 86 being Pos.

Any and all help woud be appreciated.

I think you are right and 86 is positive (current in).

Also, anyone notice the BMW relays (Yellow paint  61.31) have pins 30 and 86 swaped? :o Will work as stand alone (wired for that relay) but NOT plug and play in a built (VW factory) socket.

I know WTF am I doing with BMW relays............................I have six 4 pin and one 5 pin. Have no idea how they ended up in my box of relays. :-[
