As the title says it's 1994 Vw Golf 4dr turbo Diesel 5spd

Exterior:
White
Textured top bumpers with fender flares
Gti Headlights with kamie eyebrows
Gti Taillights
OEM Side skirts
Gti Grill
fog lights
Euro lip (one side has a crack in it)
Sunroof

Suspension:
Oem struts lowered on Jamex (TurboABA's old set-up)

Brakes:
rears done last April
front done summer 2004

Wheels:
17" Rial Viper D's
14" Steelies with all seasons

Engine:
rebuilt summer 2004 (45,000 km)
Custom 2 1/4 cat back
New ko3 turbo summer 2004
Water pump
just put in new glow plugs
new fuel filter

Interior:
VDO boost gauge
Mk4 knob and boot

I've put alot of work/money into this car and know I won't see it in return. I also have alot of parts for the car that haven't had a chance to be installed yet.

Extras available:
Smog nozzles
Cullen Smoked side markers
a rare Kamie grill spoiler for GTI grill
Saab 9000 intercooler
smooth bumpers (original bumpers)
Extra rad support
roof mount antenna

With the car sitting on steelies, lighting returned to stock I'm looking for around $2500 or if you want everything I got for the car then I'll let it go for $3500.

Prices are negotiable and thats all I think

I am currently in my last year of high school, although i will be 18 around the time i will need the wheels by. The broken crank shaft would have to change the price considerably, but other than that, I think your car is a very good value. I would be interested in getting it, but not until febuary/march, whether or not you can hold off till then to sell it is up to you, but I will deffianately be looking for one like yours near that time. Well its up to you. I will let you sit on it for a while.

Yes the crank pulley loosening is a very common problem on the 1.9TD. Do a search of any VW diesel bulletin board and you'll find plenty of cases. All 1.9TD's die this way, not just the occasional one, ALL of them.

The trouble can be prevented by paying careful attention to the crank pulley and bolt. I would recommend removal and inspection or replacement at each timing belt change. Fitting a one way clutch alternator pulley also seems to help, it takes some of the torsional vibration out of the accessory drive.

this particular car had the crank sprocket let go as described by bruce, the sprocket/crank were replaced with updated TDI parts, but unfortunetly the problem returned. :(

Post by: CdnVWJunkie on December 01, 2005, 05:35:20 pm: I think the only permanent fix for the 1.9 blues is to have the sprocket end welded and recut for the tdi style sprocket.

I've heard of a guy who travels around in Ontario and will come and perform this with the crank still in the engine. Mind you I just heard this third party and cannot vouch if it's true or not.
