Ok, this one is easy...
I was driving home yesterday and when I arrived to my place, the engine jerked a bit, then died. Opened the hood and my co-driver quickly noticed something: "is that normal?". The feed line (the one that goes from the diesel filter to the pump) was in 2 halves, I just put it all together with my hands and no problems today.
The thing is, is that line detachable like that? Or is it broken and will have to pay a visit to the vw stealership?

I think from the factory it has a metal crimp on it to hold it together but I also think there are different styles so maybe.

Mine (from filter to pump) is a thick rubber line, then a metal thingie (crimp?) [here is where it snapped in 2] thin transparent pipe , and then thick rubber line again all the way to the banjo bolt.
