Title: What year door mirror fits my Jetta?

My 92 driver's door mirror was recently smashed (broken glass and cracked housing). Will a mirror from 85-92 Jettas fit? Golf?

there were two door styles for those years.

a "small door" which has a separate piece of non moving glass in front of the window,
and a "big door" which has the mirror right at the front of the door and the whole window goes up and down.

you need to get one from a golf or jetta with the same style doors as yours.

1888-1992 will fit your car. 1985-1987 are "small doors", meaning they use small glass panes for the doors, and a small triangular window in the front corners.
