Want to start collecting stuff for a possible performance rebuild on my 1.9 IDI. Read a number of posts on the PD150 Intake manifold and have a number of question hopefully someone can help me out with.
- Haven't really done an in-depth search but are PD150 Intake manifold all the same or is there a specific one I need to use that will fit the 1.9 IDI.
- As I have no idea as to what they are worth - what's a fair price that I can I expect to pay for one?
- Is there any mod's that will need to be done in order to get it to work.
Or any other info that I may need to know. Thanks in advance.

Talk with member RYANP on these
There is PD130 & PD150 model's
You will need the race pipe from vendor

What are the advantages of just adding this intake and doing nothing else?
-
not much..
not as much biasing to the middle cylinders. thats about it. but a stock motor, with stock boost and stock fueling, wont gain much i wouldnt think. other mods are what makes the PD intake shine.

tuned tdi's have been known to burn out cylinders due to un-even flow with the ALH intakes, these PD150 (facing cambelt) or 130 (facing gearbox) are good past 250hp, people with more have them though.
There are a few varients but most fit only the later 2008onwards look similar but need more work to fit.
I get discount with Street toy's for the race pipes too!

What about the 2 piece PD manifold, the one with the butterfly valve assembly (anti shudder valve?) built in?
-
the butterflies are waiting to be ingested into your engine! lol
I've sent quite a few to people removing those crappy things, they sometimes go as far as swapping the head to get rid of the split ports as it's only for emmissions reasons!

Well they are easy to find over here but maybe not worth the bother...
