Title: Wider stance on A2?
Post by: Laurentian on November 13, 2005, 09:27:25 am
Hi, heard of some people doing an axel beam and A-arm awap on A2 using A3 parts for an additional 1/2" track per side.
Of course this seems a bit much trouble for me but I have a complete A3 for my motor swap on hand.
Is this a good set-up or could I just use wheel spacers with my teardrops for a nicer look? I have a set of FK 1.5 sports springs to round off the set-up.
Thanks,
Hugh

The MK3 control arms, axles, and tierods are longer. Yeah, you can swap all of this stuff but I don't think I'd bother if I were you. It will likely make the tires rub.

You can swap the rear axle for a wider track, apparently a good upgrade if your serious about handling/solo events etc.

Quality spacers will allow you to try this out for minimal investment of time and $$.
