so I just got a nice deal on a used bosch turbo pump. I really only want to make SURE that it works before I can't get my monies back. can I run this and just not have the lda hooked up? don't plan on running the pump on my n/a, just kinda planning for the future I guess. :P

YES ;D

you just gotta have 155 bar infectors for the pump to time to spec. but whatever engine it bolts to, it will work. 1.5, 1.6, and 1.9

The timing spec should match whatever injectors you use regardless of which 1.6 pump is used. In other words if you use 130 bar injectors, time to the n/a spec. If you use 155 bar injectors, time to the TD spec. Whether it's a 1.6 n/a pump or a 1.6TD pump doesn't affect that. I'd stick with the 130 bar injectors and time it to the n/a spec.
good info there. good to hear that I won't have to get 155's (just yet ;D) just to see if this thing is the biz or not. thanks guys.

one thing to remember, the higher the break pressure, the better the fuel will be atomized. and it should yield better mpg.

yup. the car most likely won't move. I just want to bolt it on there, and get an idea of the condition of the pump, which was advertised to me as a unit that was removed from a running td that the owner stripped one of the head bolt holes in the block, and scrapped it.
hey rabbit on roids. you got any extra pump sprockets kickin around? ;D
