Title: Mechanical Fuel/Lift Pump for 1.6l TD

Does it exist?  The vaccum/oil pump cam has a lobe on it for where the pump would mount I just haven't been able to source a pump.  Am I chasing my tail on this one?

Yes. The diesels never came with a lift pump. Gas engines used the same intermediate shaft, so the lobe is present, it just isn't used on a diesel and the port in the block has plate over it.

That mechanical pump was also only on carbureted cars so it's fairly rare to see one.
