Well I have everything installed and I'm ready to try and start the motor. I had my pump rebuilt by Giles, injectors rebuilt, new timing belt and tensioner. Everything's lined up to tdc. Is there any thing I need to do to the pump like prime it before I try and start? The pump timing's reset to where I had marked it for initial start up as I don't have a gauge as of yet.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

you can blow some air into the return and prime it like that. also you can take off the return banjo from the pump and fill it up. i would set the timing first before you start it tho.

Turn the engine over by hand to make sure that no valves are kissing the pistons.
You are probably going to have a hard time priming it just by cranking. Make sure to have the battery on a charger if you are doing that.
