Title: amp draw for starter?

How many amps does a 1.9 td starter draw?  I bought 1/0 gauge wire for a relocation but I don't know if it's big enough...

I would think at least 300 to maybe at most 550??? I don't know for sure, but I would think 1/0 is fine depending on how long of a run you are going on.

1/0 should work just fine. no matter what vw you put it in. they use 1/0 only in the most powerful stereos. and those huge amps are more power demanding than a starter, and they get plenty of power. im thinking the 1/0 will be just what your lookin for.

Thanks guys.  The wire is run; just need to figure out how best to connect to the old terminals.
