Date: 2009-12-30, 9:45AM EST
I have a new downpipe/headpipe that fits early 1980s VW Rabbit/Jetta. This pipe installs to exhaust manifold curves down under car and mates with center exhaust section. Rust free-never used. This part fits ONLY turbo diesel models. $50 plus shipping. Call AT&T cell at 413 563 1829.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a brand new Bosal mk1 TD downpipe for 40 bucks online...

Turbo is NOT the same as NA. There is a huge difference on the mk1s.
Mk2s you can get away with it but it has a good chance of leaking since they (NA vs TD) are at opposite angles.
You might be able to use a mk2 TD lower downpipe instead of the mk1 one but I think you might run into shifter problems. The MK1 TD piece is very specific to the engine/chassis.

If you have the fabrication skills sure... a friend of mine just bought some mandrel bent stainless pipe sections from Jegs and made himself an outstanding exhaust for his TD Westy.
