Hi, new to the forum.
I have a 91 ecodiesel I have owned for about 2 years.
My fuel tank has a crack and has pinched the bladder inside the tank, I don't know if I need a new tank or not, but it looks like that might be the case.
I have searched the web for a new tank but I cant find one for this year model, or any year model after the mrk 1s

What makes you think you pinched the bladder? Do these tanks even have bladders?
-
I can feel the crack in the tank, and feel the liner.
every time I fill the tank with fuel it starts to leak.
Thanks for the reply. Tim B.

Tanks are pretty easy to swap out. I didn't think these were two-ply either.
Anyway, a used one from a salvage yard ought to suffice. Gasser tanks work.

I recommend you avoid this type of activity in the future. ;D

I don't know if it will help any but under the seat (golf) or in the trunk (jetta) there is an access hole in the tank. You can peer inside with a flashlight and see what's up. I'd try and almost run out of fuel before doing this though so you can see better.

Thanks for the help guys.
I guess i'll just have to keep my jetta on the ground and out of the airborn rally cross circuit, when I get this tank fixed lol.

those tanks come out super easy. and it should be easy to find one at a scrap yard, although i don't know how many are available where you are. Even if you had to ship one across the country , it shouldn't cost too much as they weight about 5 lbs.
