Title: Power Steering Stiff Around Corner
Post by: Chestrockwell on December 11, 2009, 06:50:29 am
Hey I have a '97 Jetta and sometimes when I go around a corner it feels like the p/s belt is temporarily disconnected. Steering is fine for parking and everything else. Not a consistent problem. Seems like it has something to do with cornering force acting on the oil or something. Not low on oil. Anyone had similar experience?

Thanks,

Chester.

Wet out?

Any water thrown up onto the belts by a turning tire will cause the belts to slip.

Fanny Bay, December, what are the odds?

 Cheers

replace and/or tighten your belts.
