Title: Are the Pressure plates the same on the 1.6L's as they are on the 2.4L & 2.0L's?

I am curious if the clutch pressure plates for a 1.6L Diesel is the same as the 2.4L(6cyl) or the 2.0L(5cyl) diesel engines? I actually need one for a 2.4L but have a good one from a 1.6L as well as a 2.0L. Thanks VW

No. Clutch depends of transmission&engine combo.

5 and 6 cyl engines have 8 bolts holding the flywheel to the engine.

4 cyl engines have 6 bolts that hold the pressure plate to the engine.
