Title: Air water IC pump circuit
Post by: blackdogvan on December 05, 2009, 02:43:18 pm
How would you wire a electric water pump for a air/water IC? I was thinking a relay triggered from the load reduction circuit, anyone think of a better option?

I'm not sure if the pumps up to the task of running all the time or how much flow they create.  I just thought the wiring setup might be useful perhaps with a lower temp switch so it'd run when the cars warmed up? The little bracket that holds the pump on the 5k is pretty cool too.

VR6 passats (I think) use an auxiliary electric coolant pump that may work. I'm not sure how much they flow though.

That's the exact pump i have for this. Its very similar to the Audi turbo aux coolant pumps.

I have one in the heater circuit of my bunny, with it on I can tell very little difference. Before I installed it I put the inlet in a bucket and it really sprayed water out ;D
