brass? its supposed to be copper, and when it fails what you get is compression from the cylinders escaping.
not a good sound  ;D

if its liquid diesel your getting, its from the injector bodies, high pressure lines or usually from the return lines.

don't get your naked fingers anywhere near a diesel leak, if you get a tiny spec into your skin its byebye finger, or hand depending how far to the nearest hospital :o

Really?  Good to know.  It is copper I guess and I know the sound of the compression escaping and it is not that.  I am just getting liquid from the body I guess.  Is there anyway to fix this without using a new injector?  I have tried two so far and they both leaked...  basically is there anything else I can do before I go and buy a new injector?  I guess having two copper o-rings is not as bad as I first thought  ;D

you can repair those injectors, any diesel shop can do that

using two washers or one with a different shape is a no no, more smoke, less power, bad fuel economy

I had the same thought... Ive drank diesel by accident and havnt died yet. But yes, if you take a high pressure blast and it gets INJECTED into you, then youre in a world of pain.
