Post by: Smokey Eddy on November 25, 2009, 12:13:18 am
Always check that your dipstick tube is tight in there!!!
I must have knocked mine loose because when i started it to drive out of the garage to go race up the mtn to seat the rings WOW there was a lot of oil on the ground. roughly 3 litres of it.
a whole bag of cat litter later ....

so always check it's not loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
horrendous mess to clean

and if its loose and you spool the turbo, say hello to a even bigger mess... i took and made a dip stick and tube for my car to get rid of the problem of oil coming back out the dip stick. i had an ancient 1.5 block with no dip stick tube, so it wouldnt seal very good with just the felt gasket.
