Title: Window scrapers for Caddy
Post by: dieselherb1 on November 01, 2009, 07:47:12 pm
I need several sets of window scrapers for caddies. I've checked around but $25-30 ea. is alot. Old beetle scrapers are 8-10 a pair. Are rabbits not antique enough? Everyone makes parts for the Beetles. If I could find a supplier of the raw strips I'll cut them to fit. Anyone have any info?
Thanks

You got it right..   Rabbits are not antique enough..  Probably not high enough demand for them yet either...   I've never actually yanked any of my window scrapers out, but at some point soon I should look into that as well..  I should rip them out of one of the junkers and see if I can get some dimenstions..  Maybe somthing easily modifed and cheap is out there....

I wish they were that cheap for the Scirocco.  They are NLA, so a guy started re-producing them, $45.00 each for the outers, $55.00 each for the inners.   :o

Sucks because EVERY Scirocco I needs them.   :(  Almost $1,200 for a whole set of seals for the car.

If you can get them for $25 I'd grab them now while you still can.
