Title: Mtdi 1z. No fuel to injectors
Post by: poole456 on October 26, 2009, 11:12:09 am
Hi just started building my first mtdi engine today.

Pump is a 1.6td one with 1.9tdi camplate, plunger and head. Its bolted up to the engine on a stand and im trying to get it running.

Ive a positive directly onto the fuel cutoff solenoid, glowplugs on switch, and positive for starter that's it.

Its turning over well but wont fire up at all, ive loosened off one of the injector pipes and there's no fuel getting that far. Only things i can think of to cause this are the solenoid(Ive tried 2 different ones already), or the accelerator mechanism(i never marked it before taking it apart  :-\ so at the moment im trying to start it at it max position.

Would the fuel screw have anything to do with it?

What other adjustments need to be made?

Anyone got any info/help please?

Can you hear the fuel cut off solenoid being activated?
